Went to Anchorage for a conference, then flew to Juneau where I stayed with friends. Traveling with me were my surrogate parents Ralph and Sally. From Juneau we took the ferry to Skagway and then the excursion train up the mountain pass to the Canadian Border. It was May, Cold, and when we returned to Juneau, it was a 65 degree and sunny day. Even the Alaskans had shorts and Birkenstocks on that day!
